Murder and homicide rates have plummeted since the BRAVE organization was founded by Hillar Moore III.

Hillar Moore III began the Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination, also known as BRAVE during his second term as East Baton Rouge, District Attorney. Moore became the youngest District Attorney Investigator ever at the age of 20.

"My biggest dilemma is, why people are killing each other," Hillar Moore III says when referring to BRAVE. The association reduces crime in the Baton Rouge area and provides an opportunity for teens ages 13-21 a second chance to turn their lives around before it is too late.

Moore hopes that the success in his organization will improve over time and it will become a betterment for the community. Moore is currently serving his second term and hopes to be re-elected within the next four years.
